With an event like the Land Run 100, just getting registered makes you feel like you won. Until you realize the hard part is just starting.
The annual gravel grinder sold out in 7 minutes last Saturday. All 1,000 rider slots. Every age group. Full. I was lucky enough that my wife reminded me it was 7:59 am, because I wasn’t paying close attention. And I was able to get registered. I guess I got lucky. Depending on your viewpoint.
So How do you train for the race? I’m not sure. But, we will figure it out. I’m scouting gravel and muddy roads for this weekend’s ride. Wish me luck.
