Where do we start with adventure in Alaska? There is so much to choose from. From seeing the Northern Lights to the Iditarod, and numerous extreme adventures in between, you can’t go wrong in Alaska. In fact, there are so many adventures to choose from, we need to come back to create a much longer list later. But for now we will just focus on one adventure.

Let’s try a Floatplane to Mount Aniakchak. Located in the Aleutian range of Southwest Alaska, Mount Aniakchak is a bucket-list park to visit. It is a hiker and backpacker’s paradise. Perhaps the best feature of this park is the 3,500-year-old collapsed volcano. The Aniakchak river offers a great area to whitewater raft and there is a six-mile-wide caldera that is perfect for hiking, backpacking, and camping. Also, be mindful of all the grizzlies you’ll see.
