We are starting a new series of articles, each about an awesome adventure in a particular state. We are calling the series Adventure USA. Let’s start with Alabama.

The Bankhead National Forest, Alabama

Go and explore the Bankhead National Forest which offers 181,000-acres of wilderness and 90-miles of trails that are perfect for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The forest is filled with thousands of waterfalls, plus beautiful pine trees that will keep you perfectly shaded as you explore. If fishing is your thing then head over to the Black Warrior River, which is perfect for trout fishing. Just north of Jasper, this destination isn’t far for those who reside in Alabama and after exploring the amazing forest you can check out the coon dog memorial cemetery which is dedicated to the memories of prized hunting dogs.
