Grand to Grand Ultra
Where: Arizona and Utah
Length: 170 miles
If you’re looking for a challenge, then look no further then the Grand to Grand. After all, nothing beats the wonder of the Grand Canyon. This race will take you from the Grand Canyon in Arizona to the Grand Staircase in Utah, completing a total of 170-miles. The race lasts seven days with 6-stages. You will run across deserts, sand dunes, mesas and have a killer 39,000-foot climb. The Grand to Grand is known to be one of the toughest races in the world but the scenery is well worth it.
Pine Creek Challenge
Length: 100 miles
The Pine Creek Challenge is a great race to start if you’re a beginner to the ultra-racing world. The course is on a fine crushed stone surface and 20-feet wide, giving you plenty of room to run. Runners have 30-hours to complete the 100-mile race with numerous aid stations along the path. This race has no real winner, so you can go at your own pace and see what works for you.

Length: 135 miles
Ultra-endurance runs are hard enough but adding the mixture of running in one of the United State’s hottest spots just makes it worst. The Badwater 135 is a 135-mile race through Death Valley that combines distance and elevation, not to mention heat. The race will take you over Mt. Whitney, which is the highest point in the contiguous United States with temperatures reaching 120 degrees. The kicker, this race is invitation only since it’s among one of the most popular ultra-races in the United States.
Superior Fall Trail Races
Length: 26.2 miles, 50 miles, 100 miles
Difficulty: Intermediate to Hard
If you enjoy running along a rugged, rooty, and rocky terrain this is the race for you. The Superior Fall Trail Races is held on the Superior Hiking rail in the Sawtooth Mountains and along Lake Superior. While running you will be challenged with a constant climbs and descents, making this ultra-run even more difficult.
Tahoe 200 Endurance Run
Length: 200 miles
The Tahoe 200 is a beautiful scenic loop trail course that will take you around Lake Tahoe in both California and Nevada. The run mainly takes place on the Tahoe Rim Trail, but you will also get a peek of the Mt. Rose Wilderness, Granite Chief Wilderness, and the Desolation Wilderness. While racing you may even come across so natural wildlife like bears, deer, and mountain lions. With stunning views and high altitudes, this is a fan favorite in the running world.
