Are you looking for ways to make some easy extra money? We found a great, and unusual side gig, that just might peak your interest. There are many different freelancing websites, and if you are a writer, a coder or anything in between, you can make a few extra bucks by honing your skills and setting up a profile. One skill you might not even you know you have, that is marketable, is voice-over recording. Companies pay people to read scrips for their commercials, marketing videos, tutorials and more.

Take for example Joel Young, a former pastor looking for ways to pay off debt and provide for his family. He signed up for Fiverr and offered voice-over services on the cheap. Working after his day job, he managed to pull in over $1million in extra income in just six years. He has since quit his job and expanded his service offerings to voice-overs, animation videos and more. He has worked for major corporations such as Lowe’s, Home Depot, State Farm and the US Navy.

The financial freedom that came with being debt-free allowed the Youngs to adopt their third child, a 3-year-old boy, live in an RV full time to travel the country, showing their kids as much of the world as they can.

Young still works a lot, but “instead of working set hours at an office, I work sporadically throughout the day so we can mix in some fun times in whatever city we’re in,” he says.
